AA8BB EZ-Tuner

Jim Fendrick AA8BB built this nifty EZ-Tuner with a remote control head. He also modified the software so it tunes automatically for minimum VSWR. Jim writes, "I have presets that set the caps and inductor to the right settings, then it reads SWR and adjusts components down to minimum swr. I have the main unit setting in another room with my amp power supply, and the control head is on my desk. The head displays component settings and swr. I have also added a circuit that keeps the amp offline until the tuner is done tuning. Tuning generally takes about 10-15 seconds, depending how far off the swr is. I did not add 160m, so no balun. It takes the inductor about 10 seconds to get to the 80m band setting (about half the inductor), I have a 3:1 drive as you can see in one of the pictures." Nice job, Jim!
